Road safari to Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru National Park Safari begins and ends in Nairobi. 5 Nights beach holiday

The safari starts with the Masai Mara – Kenya’s finest and most outstanding wildlife sanctuary where gentle rolling grassland ensures animals are never out of sight. The climate is gentle, rarely too hot and well spread rainfall year round.

The sensation of the great wildebeest migration between July and October is unparalleled. The wildlife is far from being confined within the Reserve boundaries and an even larger area extends beyond the game Reserve.

Lake Nakuru National Park is dominated by a gentle undulating terrain with open bush and woodlands, typical of the dry rift valley vegetation. Twenty seven percent (27%) of the park is composed of the Lake Nakuru waters.

Lake Nakuru was declared a rhino sanctuary in 1983. The Rhino stocking programme which has received white rhinos from South Africa. Currently the sanctuary has approximately 45 black and 31 white rhinoceros.

After the Safari, Spend time relaxing on the beach, soaking up the sun and exploring the Indian Ocean.

Day 1
Arrive Nairobi

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport a Gotrip Africa Representative will meet you and transfer you to your city hotel for overnight.

Day 2
Nairobi – Drive to the Masai Mara Game Reserve

This morning we take a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. Arrive in time for Lunch at our Lodge/camp and relax before departing for the afternoon game run – The Mara Game Reserve – one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see.

Residents among the Park are: Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland and thousands of plain game including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both Thomson’s and grants Gazelles.

Day 3
Discover Masai Mara Game Reserve

The search for great predators and perhaps even cubs continues today during extensive game runs. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs. Masai Mara remains the most exciting wildlife eco-system in the world.

The reserve hosts the highest concentration of wild animals per sq. km than any other park in the region. The scenic appeal of this tree studded savannah, its’ modest temperatures and diversity of wild game species makes the reserve a one stop shop for game viewing.

We shall traverse the reserve in search of the big five and more species of the lesser games. Our mid-day meals will either be picnic or at camp/lodge.

Day 4
Masai Mara – Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, we travel to the exotic Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley. An Afternoon game drive is planned after lunch.

The game in this Park is plentiful and the magnificent bird watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant. The Park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lakeshores into a magnificent pink stretch.

The bird life here is world renown and over 400 birds’ species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the White Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe.

Day 5
From Lake Nakuru – Drive to Nairobi – Catch flight to Coastal Town Mombasa

After an early but relaxed breakfast and a game drive enroute on exiting the reserve, you depart L. Nakuru for Nairobi, arriving early afternoon, in time for a one hour, mid afternoon flight to Mombasa. (You will be able to enjoy a quick pre-flight lunch meal at the airport which has an excellent cafe).

Arrive in Mombasa. Welcome to the beach! You will be met at the airport by our representative for an onward transfer to the Voyager Beach Hotel on the north coast, only about 30 mins drive from the airport in moderate traffic.

The Voyager Beach Resort is a vibrant, ship-themed resort famous for hosting some of Africa’s finest family entertainments and animation programmes, including unique themed journeys across the seven seas, culinary extravaganzas, and special music, fashion, comedy and acrobatic shows. Fashioned along

the lines of a luxury cruise ship, the MV Voyager is about to take you on a wonderful voyage of the sea.

Day 6
Relax at the Beach

Enjoy your Mombasa beach holiday and relax on the beautiful sandy white beach and sip a refreshing cocktail. Take in the tropical beauty of the coastline.

You will have the next 5 days during your Kenya beach holiday to enjoy at your leisure and savor the laid-back African beach lifestyle.

Work on your tan, play a game of volleyball, go sailing, kite surfing or snorkeling. Cool off with a refreshing dip in the Ocean before savoring a leisurely lunch.

Voyager is an all-inclusive club – all meals / soft drinks and a selection of local alcoholic drinks and wines are included in the package. Enjoy the cocktails!

From Mombasa Fly Back to Nairobi

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast followed by most of the morning at the resort. At midday or early afternoon, depending on flight availability, you will be transferred to the airport for your return 1 hour flight back to Nairobi. Your flight lands at the JKIA airport, the same airport from where your return International flight will depart. All you need to do is walk across to the international unit which is typically less than a 10 minute walk.
